Dolly heads north to the shores of New England for a visit with "truthendures" !

Last Saturday, my family took Dolly all over my home town of New Bedford, Massachusetts....once known as the Whaling Capitol of the World.

Our first stop was Seaman's Bethel...but there was a service going on, so we couldn't go in. We did get a pic of the plaque outside...

From there we went down to the seashore at Fort Taber (formerly Fort Rodman) where we gathered some seashells, King Neptune's toenails, and sea glass.

We also visited the Military Museum there(you can see it in the pic behind and to the right of the Fort). Dolly signed the guestbook.

We also learned some neat things...

Just when dolly thought she was going to drop...I mentioned "shopping". We popped in to Sullivan's Auctions over in Acushnet, Ma. for their weekly 'flea market'. Dolly saw a cute sleigh there...I couldn't resist buying it for her. We really hoped for snow, but none fell.

Dolly rested most of the week, but we did do groceries on Tuesday in preparation for Thanksgiving. I gave her a jarful to take with her on the trip.

Thanksgiving was nice and quiet. We ate Turkey, Mashed taters, gravy, stuffing, peas, carrots, corn, and biscuits. For dessert we had blueberry, pumpkin, and apple pie, apple crisp, and ice cream. Dolly said she's still full.

We said goodbye to dolly today.

Bye-bye Dolly, have a nice trip!
