Tough to get Dolly to leave Texas!   Now she's visiting in North Texas with "gran"...

Dolly arrived Friday, and I had to work until very late and all the other dollies were in bed, so I just quietly opened the box.
After I ooh'd and ahhh'd over Dolly and her treasures, Dolly donned a gown I had set aside for her, said her prayers and climbed into Barbie's bed. She brought her own blanket as it made her feel more at home. (really cute, I don't know who made it?)

She read a few doll magazines til she settled in.
Told her the Saucy girls were usually the first to wake up and she could visit with them in the morning.
Dolly was quite tuckered and soon fell asleep.

Saturday morning Dolly joined the Saucys and Little Miss Beautiful (Posie was still in bed so they all gathered around.

Saturday was a busy day for Gran so Dolly met and played with Gran's dolls.

She quickly spied her identical cousin and gave her a big hug.
All the 'little' girls wanted their pix made with Dolly too
Dolly then went on to visit with the bigger girls, one who is always late and wasn't even dressed yet!

Of course Dolly knew Baby Face was somewhere so she searched her out too. BF thought she had a new doll!
Dolly napped during the day, after all meeting all those noisy girls tuckered her out. The rest of the evening was spent playing board games and quiet activities. I hardly knew she was in the house.
Sunday morning Dolly dressed for church, but wanted to check out her Travelin' Dolly page first...
Sunday afternoon I gave Dolly a pair of skates like Dotty's and they were off to the front porch to do some skating.
Dottie thinks she's a pro but Dolly was a little less eager

Dottie told Dolly she would hold her hand so she wouldn't fall (I was a bit worried about that!)

Luckily they both managed to stay upright and had a good time.

Sunday evening Gran watched the Nascar race and Dolly found it to be quite exciting. But it was a long race and she fell asleep, but only after I promised to show her a 'real' race car Monday.
(I understand Dolly is still trying to figure out why those cars have no doors!)

Monday morning, Dolly found the American flag in Gran & Papa's yard and she learned about Memorial Day. She had a lot of questions, and wanted her pix made with the flag.
Gran and Papa worked in the garden Monday evening, and Dolly was NOT disappointed that the 'maters were still green. She didn't think a 'mater & onion sandwich sounded good at all LOL. In fact, she thought the 'maters were way too big for her.  She did find a tiny squash that was just her size!
