Dolly's on the move again & just arrived in   Here she is in Puyallup with letsplaybarbie!

Dolly arrived in Puyallup yesterday during a windstorm! Since it was too windy to go outside, she spent her day hanging out with the Skipper quadruplets and telling them of her travels. Dolly is going to be hanging with me and my family doing whatever we do during this week and she will have a day or two of sight seeing as well. The Skippers were very excited to see Dolly!!

The Skipper quads waiting anxiously all day for Dolly to arrive.

When they saw the mailman leave a package on the porch....they just knew it was Dolly and they raised their arms and screamed in delight!!

When letsplaybarbie brought Dolly into the house and showed her into the Skipper bedroom, there was a big group hug.

Dolly was exhausted from her trip but very excited to tell the Skips all about her travels. She showed them her little doll that was gifted to her by a kind DDBP member! Dolly had all the Skips attention.

Soon the friends heard Travelin Dolly had made it to Puyallup and they all stopped by and the gang got down to serious business playing with dolls.
It was getting late and Dolly was pooped so when it was time for bed, she fell fast asleep!

Travelin Dolly arrived in Puyallup last Tuesday during a windstorm but on Wednesday the storm was gone and the sun was out so I took her to see some of my favorite places
Here is Dolly at the Meeker Mansion. This was Ezra Meekers home. Meeker was a primary promoter of the Oregon Trail. Meeker platted the town of Puyallup (pew-al-up) which means generous people, after the local indian tribe.
She also visited Pioneer Park which has this huge statue of Ezra Meeker.
She also visited the Puyallup Fair, which was closed. The Puyallup Fair is also known as the Western Washington Fair and is the largest fair in Washington. Besides having the fair twice a year, they also hold many trade shows there including the Antique and Collectible shows and the doll shows!
Dolly also went doll hunting with me. We put on our comfy hunting clothes and went to one of my favorite thrift shops and I told Dolly what to look for when hunting for vintage Barbies. Dolly had to stand on the shelf to see the dolls.
Dolly tried to let the Barbies out of the bags, she was worried they were suffocating but I told her they would be fine.
I showed Dolly the display case where the store keeps the "special" dolls and Dolly peered down inside the case.
She saw a baby doll on the bottom shelf and begged me to rescue him, so I did!
This weekend, we went out of town to go watch my son and DH and the rest of the Grizzlies play in a hockey tournament . Dolly had a blast and she made sure she wore her beautiful warm coat because it is really cold inside the hockey rink. The team did not win the championship but she was excited that she got to see my DH and my son both make goals! She was bummed the tournament was over because she wanted to see a hockey fight break out on the ice....errrr, I mean, she wanted to see another hockey game.
Here she is with the some great guys from the team.
How cool are they to pose with Dolly!!!
Dolly's last full day with me was spent at the swap meet!!! Dolly has been admiring all of the her kind hosts dolls and she decided she wanted to start her own collection. She knows that I find some great stuff so she was very excited and in no time, she was on the hunt!!

She looks through some boxes. She remembers what I told her about digging through boxes of modern dolls because sometimes there are vintage dolls in there. She also remembers what I told her about looking under tables and opening up any box or case that is closed
She sees a red case and opens it up. She is very excited because inside she sees a Tiny Tears doll, a mint long haired American Girl Barbie and a tiny doll that looks a little like a tiny Travelin Dolly!!! She tries to compose herself and asks the seller how much the dolls are. The seller thinks for a moment and then asks Dolly "how bout $10 for the whole thing?".
Dolly hands the seller her money and is pleased as punch that she found some dolls for a bargain!!
I think Dolly had a nice visit to Puyallup WA. My boys were on their best behavior and Dolly did not get into any trouble. One thing strange though.....My son did tell me that he, his bandmates and Dolly were hanging out with rowdy bunch of kids outside. He said they were driving a pink jeep and Dolly appeared to have known them. Hmmmmm, I wonder if it was mspoohs missing dolls???

Traveling Dolly is on her way to another Vicki's house (otsdd4) in Houston Texas.
